A Sedalia man accused of a sex-related felony involving a juvenile last year is due in court next week.
A probable-cause statement says on June 14, 2017, a 13-year-old juvenile told a Child Safe investigator that Carlos Brown had kissed and touched her inappropriately when she was between the ages of 7 and 9.
According to online court documents, Brown, who is now 49, has been charged with an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree-Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Person Less than 14 Years of Age.
Court documents also say Brown, who was indicted by a Grand Jury on August 15, 2017, and entered a plea of not guilty during his arraignment hearing on September 5, 2017, is scheduled for a hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 17, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
