Walter J. “Bud” Peoples, age 77, of Syracuse, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018.

Walter was cremated, and no services are planned per his wishes.

Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Boonville.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, George William Peoples and Lena Matilda Combs; brother, Norman Peoples; and sister, Lena Grace Wear.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of the home; son, Michael J. Peoples, of Syracuse, and his children, Austin, Dallas and Lane; son, William Clay Peoples, of Syracuse; daughter, Kathi (Justin) Surface, of Marshall, and their children, Sarah, Matthew and Rachael; daughter, Shanda (Jeff) Millsap, of Otterville, and their child, Shelby; daughter, Linda Nichols, of California, and her son, Trevor; and Brenda (Jim) Thomas, of Syracuse, and their children, Chris and Will; and 13 great-grandchildren.
