A water main leak is being repaired and a boil advisory will be in affect for some residents in the City of Boonville.
According to a release from the Cooper County Emergency Management Agency, at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, December 17, crews began repairing a damaged water main in 1200 Block of Fourth Street in Boonville. As of 3:10 p.m., crews have identified the problem and estimate the water main should be fixed within the next couple of hours.
A 48-hour boil advisory will begin when the water is turned back on in the area.
The boil advisory area includes Fourth Street, between Ashley Road and South Street; and on Sycamore, Pine and South Streets between Main and Third Streets.
