The Missouri Department of Transportation has some helpful tools for motorists who plan to travel during the holiday season.
According to MoDOT, knowing current road conditions is the first step in making sure you arrive at your destination safely, and MoDOT has a variety of online and mobile services to help motorist plan ahead.
The Traveler Information Map, found on MoDOT’s website, displays color-coded road conditions, work zones, flood warnings, traffic crashes, roadside cameras, message boards and even commuter lots. The MoDOT Traveler app, which includes the map, can be download for either Android or Apple devices.
Also, area motorists can sign up for MoDOT’s E-update system. By subscribing to E-update, you can option to get information on a specific district, county, route or project by visit www.modot.org
