Three of four Slater residents facing felony charges for allegedly setting a fire that destroyed a home in Miami on October 16 are due in court this week.
A news release says a joint investigation by the Saline County Sheriff’s Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office alleges that 28-year-old Joshua Reeves; 20-year-old Sabrina Reeves; 41-year-old Lillian McDaniel; and 18-year-old Jordan McDaniel were the perpetrators.
Each has been charged with a Class D Felony for Second-Degree Arson. Cash-only bond for Joshua Reeves has been set at $125,000 and $50,000 for each of the other suspects.
Each defendant appeared for a hearing on December 19. Lillian McDaniel entered a plea of not guilty during her hearing.
The McDaniels and Sabrina Reeves are due for hearings at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, and Joshua Reeves at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Saline County Circuit Court.
