KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company (GMO) has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to increase the fuel adjustment charge (FAC) on the bills of its electric customers.
According to a news release, the company has made two separate filings which would increase a residential customer’s monthly bill by $3. A customer using 1,000 kWh a month would see an increase from approximately $2.40 to approximately $5.41 a month. The proposed change would take effect in March.
Customers who wish to comment on the proposed increase should contact the Office of the Public Counsel at (866) 922-2959, or by email at opcservice@ded.mo.gov. The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency that represents the general public in matters before the Commission.
KCP&L GMO provides electric service to approximately 323,470 customers in Missouri which includes the KMMO listening area counties of Carroll, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis and Ray.
