First, authorities in Pettis County identified and arrested the alleged getaway driver, now they have identified a suspect involved in a bank robbery.
According to a post on the Sedalia Police Department’s Facebook page, officers and detectives responded to Central Bank at 400 West Broadway for a reported robbery on December 26. The suspect reportedly fled on foot to an awaiting vehicle that was being driven by another subject. On Thursday, December 27, the alleged driver was identified as 52-year-old David A. Graves, and he was arrested.
A probable-cause statement says during the robbery, the teller placed an explosive dye pack in the bag along with about $8,100. The teller also gave a description of the robber, and through further investigation- including interviews with Graves and other witnesses, as well as viewing surveillance video- the robber is alleged to be 35-year-old Brian L. Jones, of Lincoln, Nebraska.
According to online court documents, a warrant has been issued and Jones has been charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been set at $8,000 cash only. The probable-cause statement says Jones’ location is unknown at this time.
An initial hearing for Jones is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
