For the third time in less than two weeks, a swearing-in ceremony was held
in Saline County.
During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, January 8, Stephanie Gooden (left) took the “Oath of Office” administered by Clerk Debbie Russell to become the Northern District Commissioner.
After being recommended by the Saline County Republican Committee, Gooden was appointed by Governor Mike Parson to take the place of Richard Clemens, who died in early December.
Gooden said she wants to do what is best for Saline County.
Gooden will fill out Clemens’ unexpired term, which runs through December 31, 2020.
