The Marshall City Council was asked to approve a resolution regarding the appointment of a director and alternate director to the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission (MJMEUC) during its meeting on Monday, January 7.
Jeff Bergstrom, who will be taking over as General Manager of Marshall Municipal Utilities when current GM Kyle Gibbs retires on February 1, explained the resolution.

The council voted to approve the resolution to appoint Bergstrom as director and Tony Bersano as alternate director.
In other news, the council also was asked to approve a recommendation made by Mayor Mark Gooden to reappoint Ken Bryant to the MMU Board of Public Works. The council decided to put off a decision until its next meeting on Tuesday, January 22.
