On Monday, January 7, a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper allegedly found approximately 1,100 pounds of marijuana during a consented search of a vehicle after a traffic stop on I-70, and two residents of Redding, California, are facing drug charges in Saline County.
According to a probable-cause statement, the trooper says he located a total of approximately 1,093 one-pound vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in several boxes in the truck. Arrested were 41-year-old Santos Urban Jr. and 35-year-old Jennifer Urban.
Online court documents say each has been charged with a Class A Felony for Trafficking Drugs or Attempt in the First Degree. Bond for each subject has been set at $250,000 cash only.
Each of the accused is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, at Saline County Circuit Court.
