Saline County Treasurer Marty Smith was at the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, January 10, and gave the sales-tax report for January.
After reporting the county received $23,915.64 for the Use Tax- which was up more than $4,000 from last month and more than $5,000 from the same period last year- he gave updates on two other taxes received.
Thus far, the county has raked in nearly $170,000 from the half-cent Economic Development Sales Tax, which began on October 1, 2018, and will sunset on December 31, 2038.
