A Carrollton woman was killed in a traffic crash in Carroll County on Friday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as the driver of a westbound vehicle, 32-year-old Hope Wilson, reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to the snow covered roadway. Wilson’s vehicle slid sideways into the eastbound lane and impacted a vehicle, driven by 55-year-old Gabriel Zamarripa, of Marshall. After impact, both vehicle came to a rest in the westbound lane.
Wilson reportedly was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner at 3:15 p.m. Zamarripa was transported by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment of moderate injures.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. on U.S. Highway 24, just west of County Road 335.
