One of four Slater residents facing a felony charge for allegedly setting a fire that destroyed a home in Miami on October 16, 2018, is due in court this week.
A news release says a joint investigation by the Saline County Sheriff’s Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office alleges that 28-year-old Joshua Reeves; 20-year-old Sabrina Reeves; 41-year-old Lillian McDaniel; and 18-year-old Jordan McDaniel were the perpetrators.
According to online court documents, each has been charged with a Class D Felony for Second-Degree Arson.
Lillian McDaniel, who entered a plea of not guilty on December 21, is scheduled to appear for a motion hearing at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16. The McDaniels and Sabrina Reeves are scheduled to appear for their preliminary hearings at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6; and Joshua Reeves’ next hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, at Saline County Circuit Court.
