A counterfeit $100 bill reportedly was used to make a purchase at a restaurant in Marshall last week.
According to a report from the Marshall Police Department, a manager at McDonald’s contacted the department and said the counterfeit bill was used to buy food on Thursday, January 10.
After a bank deposit was made, a McDonald’s manager received a call from Community Bank, and a bank representative said the bill is counterfeit.
A McDonald’s employee described the persons who allegedly used the bill as being between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7 African-American females, with one weighing between 125 and 150 pounds and the other between 170 and 200 pounds. He said both women were wearing pink shorts; and one was wearing a tank top and the other a hoodie.
The investigation continues.
