An ongoing sewer project was a topic of discussion during the meeting of the Slater City Council on Tuesday, January 15.
City Administer Gene Griffith details how the process of the sewer project can cause a particular smell.

Griffith explains how the smell can enter a home and what residents can do to get rid of it.

Griffith said the project will resume later this year. Also, Griffith said the project of repainting the city water towers is complete.
In other business, Mayor Dr. Stephen Allegri said only incumbents filed for council seats up for election in April, which included Brenda Smith, Terry Jordan, Matt Campbell and Crystal Wiseman.
