Anna Lu Avey, age 78, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, at Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp, where the family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Brushy Cemetery near Lincoln.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Brushy Cemetery or Countryside Eagles Lodge, in care of Fox Funeral Home.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Larry Avey, of the home; daughter, Kathy Doyle and her husband, Don, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; son, Larry Avey, Jr. and his wife, Martha, of Mora; four sisters, Wanda Kruse, of Independence, Myrene Friend, of Isabella, Mary Walker, of Florida, and Lillie Mae Brown, of Olathe, Kansas; three brothers, Kenneth Harring, of Excelsior Springs, Harold Harring, of West Plains, and Rickey Harring, of West Plains; three grandchildren, Jimmy Bahr and his wife, Candance, Chandra Elder and Lane Avey; seven great-grandchildren, Trinity and Colt Koch, Heaven and Gavin Epperson, Lexi Elder, Emily Elder, Hope Bahr, Cherish Bahr and Brennan Bahr; two great-great grandchildren, Braydon Epperson and Allie Pena; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Grace Harring; a son, Ronnie Wayne Jewell; two sisters, Carolyn Harring and Evelyn Strickland; and four brothers, Charles Harring, Willie Harring, Lester Harring and Melvin Harring.
