A Boonville woman has been charged with a felony after authorities allegedly found her growing marijuana at a residence last week in Cooper County.
A probable-cause statement says Boonville Police officers obtained a search warrant for a residence on Sunrise Drive on Saturday, January 19.
During the search, officers reportedly found 48 grams of marijuana and a baggie of marijuana seeds, as well as three tall tents with dryer hoses coming out them which were attached to an air blower and filter. Also, officers found a light source commonly used in the growing of marijuana. After the search, officers arrested 55-year-old Beatrice Hawkins.
Online court documents say Hawkins has been charged with a Class C Felony for Manufacturing a Controlled Substance. Bond has not been set.
An initial hearing for Hawkins is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
