The Concordia Board of Aldermen discussed the resignation of its police chief during a meeting on Tuesday, January 22.
City Administrator Dale Klussman gave details on what the board decided regarding the resignation of Police Chief Clint Raynes.

Klussman said Raynes stepped down from the position so he could pursue a career in the IT (information technology) field by accepting a job in Columbia. Raynes took over as police chief in January 2017.
During the closed-session meeting, Klussman said the board made a decision regarding Interim Police Chief Paul Mapes

Again, Mapes is scheduled to be sworn in as police chief during the next meeting on Monday, February 4.
