Marshall City Administrator David Haugland reported on several items during the city council meeting on Tuesday, January 22.
Without giving specifics, Haugland said one involves a potential new business. He said he received a phone call last week.

Haugland also notified the council of a couple of things that will be on the agenda for the February 4 meeting.

Haugland also said the city has put together a proposed ordinance regarding special-event permits.
In other news, Haugland said Marshall Municipal Utilities will be holding a retirement event for General Manager Kyle Gibbs on January 31. Haugland said it will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the electrical distribution building on West Arrow Street.
