During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, January 22, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. gave kudos to Auditor Tara Vogelsmeier for getting all of the numbers plugged into the county’s budget.
The budget will lay for 10 working days from Tuesday, January 22, for anybody to come to the courthouse in Marshall to view. A public hearing will be held, and the budget is scheduled to be approved during the commission meeting on Tuesday, February 5.
In other news, Southern District Commissioner Monte Fenner said it’s time for new plat books.
The cost to the county will be $4,500.
Commissioners also approved the hiring of Bobbie Coleman, of Slater, as a legal assistant in the prosecuting attorney’s office. Coleman began her employment on January 14.
