Dobson says everybody agreed to allow the city to put the drainage under ground.
In other news, aldermen approved the reappointment of Arron Haynes to the Lafayette County University Extension Council. His new term runs from March 1, 2019, through February 28, 2021.
The board also approved the candidates who filed to run for Board of Aldermen positions. All incumbents filed- Scott Rhoad in Ward 1; Beau Linebach in Ward 2; and Stanton Thompson in Ward 3; and will be running unopposed. However, the city still will have to hold the election, according to Dobson.
