A homeless man has been charged with a felony for allegedly entering a residence and eating the victim’s food earlier this week in Sedalia.
A probable cause statement says Sedalia Police officers responded to a reported trespassing incident at a residence in the 2200 block of West 1st Street on January 22.
Officers arrived at the location and 27-year-old Kaleb Krumroy reportedly refused to open the door. Eventually, Krumroy opened the door and spoke with officers who noticed him to be in an aggressive mood. Krumroy reportedly shoved an officer out of the doorway and shut the door. The victims reportedly opened the door for the officers who arrested Krumroy. Officers reportedly had to put Krumroy in a WRAP or a full-body restraint jacket due his combative nature during the incident.
The victims stated Krumroy was not allowed at the residence, but entered the home uninvited and began to eat food without permission. The victims added Krumroy was warned multiple times to leave before the authorities would be called.
Online court documents say Krumroy has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree and misdemeanors for resisting arrest and assault. Bond has been set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Krumroy was formally arraigned on January 24, and his caused was continued with a case-hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
