During its meeting on Tuesday, January 22, the Marshall City Council was asked to consider reappointments to a board and a committee.
First, Mayor Mark Gooden asked for approval of Ken Bryant to serve another term on the Marshall Municipal Utilities’ Board of Public Works. Since the council tabled a decision during its previous meeting, Bryant’s reappointment for another four-year term was approved.
Gooden then asked for approval of a reappointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Ward 2 Councilman Chuck Hines said the council should wait to make a decision.
Hines’ motion to table a decision was approved.
It was pointed out that since it is a reappointment, Mills will still serve until a decision is made. The next meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to be held on the second Tuesday in February.
