A case involving a Marshall teenager charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a Sedalia woman a little over a year ago was found guilty by a Pettis County jury earlier this week.
According to a news release, on January 12, 2018, deputies made an arrest in connection with the shooting death of 21-year-old Cassandra L. White at the Western View Estates Trailer Park on Oak Grove Lane in Sedalia on January 9. An investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Noah A. Kelliker.
Online court documents say Kelliker, who is now 19, was facing charges of a Class A Felony for Murder in the Second Degree; a Class B Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action.
Kelliker entered a plea of not guilty during a hearing on February 5, 2018.
During the trial on Thursday, January 24, 2019, the jury determined Kelliker was guilty of all three felony charges. The court accepted the verdict and found Kelliker guilty as charged.
A sentencing hearing for Kelliker has been scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
