A New Franklin woman has been charged with a felony after an alleged domestic assault recently in Howard County.
A probable-cause statement says New Franklin Police officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of East Broadway for a reported domestic assault incident on January 12.
Officers spoke with the male victim who stated he was assaulted by 25-year-old Jamie Nicole Stock. Stock allegedly kicked the victim in the groin and punched him in the face with a closed fist twice during an argument. Stock reportedly said she became angry with the victim and couldn’t control her actions. Stock added she was trying to get away from the victim to calm down as he was trying to talk to her, but she said talking doesn’t clam her down and didn’t know what else to do to get him out of the way. Reportedly, Stock admitted to harming the victim on three separate occasions.
The probable-cause statement also says the victim declined to press charges against Stock.
Online court documents say Stock has been charged with a Class E Felony for Third-Degree Domestic Assault. Bond has not yet been set.
Stock’s arraignment hearing is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, at Howard County Circuit Court.
