With the temperatures hovering in the single digits and some new snowfall on the ground, several area school districts have called KMMO and will not be in session, while others will be starting late on Thursday, January 31.
According to what has been submitted so far, schools that will be closed include: Carrollton R-7; Concordia Public and St. Paul’s Lutheran Elementary in Concordia; Hardeman R-10; Hardin-Central; Lafayette County C-1 and Immanuel Lutheran in Higginsville; Lexington R-5; Miami R-1; Norborne R-8; Odessa R-7; Otterville; Pettis County R-5 in Houstonia and Hughesville; and Sweet Springs R-7.
Schools on a two-hour, delayed-start schedule include: Marshall Public; Brunswick R-2; Cooper County R-4 in Bunceton; Fayette R-3; Gilliam C-4; Malta Bend R-5; Pettis County R-12 at Dresden; Pilot Grove C-4 and St. Joseph’s in Pilot Grove; Santa Fe Schools in Alma and Waverly and Trinity Lutheran in Alma; Sedalia 200; and Tina-Avalon.
Schools starting at 10 a.m. include: Glasgow Public and Head Start in Glasgow; and Slater Public Schools.
Also, there will be no morning classes at Bright Beginnings Preschool in Marshall.
