A La Monte man who has been charged with a sex-related felony involving a juvenile in Saline County is due in court this week.
A probable-cause statement says 55-year-old Tommy Joe Hotsenpiller is alleged to have inappropriately touched a juvenile female on the night of November 30.
During a forensic interview, the juvenile female said the incident occurred at Hotsenpiller’s vehicle in the parking lot of Marshall High School. Hotsenpiller was a teacher in the district who reportedly was terminated in October 2018 and was trespassing during the incident.
Online court documents say Hotsenpiller is facing a Class D Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the Second Degree and a misdemeanor for trespassing. Hotsenpiller posted bond on December 26.
His hearing is scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 6, at Saline County Circuit Court.
