An ordinance regarding the release procedure of impounded animals was approved by the Concordia Board of Aldermen during its meeting on Monday, February 4.
City Administrator Dale Klussman said the new ordinance calls for residents to show proof that their pets have had rabies shots before the animal is released from the city pound.

In other business, Klussman said bids were opened for the Southwest Sewer Extension Project, but the board decided to table a decision to see if there is more cost-effective options.
