A Fayette resident was killed in a two-vehicle, head-on traffic crash in Howard County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 23-year-old Joshua Brice reportedly tried to pass another vehicle in his northbound vehicle, and it traveled into the path of and struck a southbound vehicle, driven by 24-year-old Clay Walker, of New Franklin.
Brice, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced deceased at 11:15 p.m. at the scene by Howard County Coroner Frank Flaspohler. Walker reportedly was transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of serious injuries.
The crash happened just before 10:50 p.m. on Missouri Highway 5, one mile north of New Franklin.
