Mother Nature hasn’t been kind to west-central Missouri lately. And the wintry mix has continued throughout most of the area overnight and part of today. The rain, sleet and ice have caused roadways to be slick.
According to MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map, many of the major highways in the area are affected.
The only portion of a major thoroughfare in the area shown as being mostly clear is a stretch of I-70 between Higginsville Junction and Stuckey’s at Exit 84. Otherwise, I-70 and all other major highways in the KMMO area are being shown as partly or mostly covered.
