Saline County Sheriff Cindi Mullins is singing the praises of the department’s website.
According to a release from Mullins, January marked the one-year anniversary for the Saline County Sheriff’s website.
The release says “Our page averages about 8,500 visits a month, and we currently have 536 subscribers signed up to receive automated messages by phone or email. These messages can be a new addition to the “Most Wanted” page or a new sex offender that has moved into the area.”
Mullins says the website also includes any current situation the department believes the citizens should be made aware of and press releases through the department.
In 12 months, Mullins says 53 arrests have been made off the department’s “Most Wanted” page, either by tips from the public, officer recognition or the wanted person turning himself or herself in to authorities.
Mullins says if you want to be signed up for the messages and need assistance, you can send a request to the email address: scso@salinecountysheriff.com free of charge. You need to include the phone number or email you want used, and you will start receiving updates.
Anyone with questions or comments and/or ideas for the website can contact the department at scso@salinecountysheriff.com.
If anyone has a tip and wants to remain anonymous, you can send an email to tips@salinecountysheriff.com.
