Due to icy road conditions, several school districts have contacted KMMO and will not be in session, while a couple of others will be starting late on Friday, February 8.
According to what has been submitted so far: Marshall Public, Bright Beginnings Preschool, Prairie View State School and St. Peter’s in Marshall are closed. Others closed include: Blackwater; Brunswick R-2; Carrollton R-7; Concordia Public and St. Paul’s Lutheran Elementary in Concordia; Cooper County R-4 in Bunceton; Gilliam C-4; Glasgow Public, Head Start and St. Mary’s in Glasgow; Hardeman R-10; Hardin-Central; Lafayette County C-1 and Immanuel Lutheran in Higginsville; Lexington R-5; Malta Bend R-5; Miami R-1; Northwestern at Mendon; Odessa R-7; Orearville R-4; Otterville; Pettis County R-5 in Houstonia and Hughesville; Pettis County R-12 at Dresden; Santa Fe Schools in Alma and Waverly and Trinity Lutheran in Alma; Sedalia 200, Sacred Heart and E.W. Thompson School for the Severely Disabled in Sedalia; Slater Public Schools; Smithton; Sweet Springs; and Tina-Avalon.
Pilot Grove C-4 and St. Joseph’s in Pilot Grove will be on a two-hour, delayed-start schedule; and the buses will run on the blacktop roads only.
Also, all offices will be closed and classes are canceled at Missouri Valley College in Marshall.
