Elm Hills Utility Operating Company, Inc. has recently filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a certificate of convenience and necessity to acquire, own, operate, manage and maintain a sewer system in Pettis County.
According to a news release, the company is trying to acquire a sewer system in an area known as Stone Creek located near Sedalia. Elm Hills serves approximately 330 sewer customers in Pettis and Johnson counties.
Individual citizens wishing to comment about the acquisition should contact either the Office of the Public Counsel in Jefferson City at (866) 922-2959 or the Public Service Commission Staff at 1-800-392-4211. Public comments on this matter will be excepted no later than March 6.
The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency that represents the general public in matters before the Commission.
