A Warrensburg teen sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Johnson County on Monday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as a southbound freightliner, driven by 35-year-old Richard Mejia, of St. Louis, was stopped in traffic, waiting to turn left, and reportedly was struck the rear by a southbound vehicle, driven by 17-year-old Ashlee Courville.
While Mejia reportedly was not injured, Courville was transported by E.M.S. to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence for treatment.
The crash happened at 11 a.m. on Highway 13 at Route HH.
