A Green Ridge man is facing several drug-related felony charges after authorities responded to a domestic disturbance in Pettis County on Tuesday, February 19.
A probable-cause statement says Pettis County deputies responded to the disturbance at a residence in Green Ridge owned by 61-year-old Ricky Joe Richwine.
Deputies spoke with the victim who stated Richwine allegedly gave her two pills of Valium, but told her the pills were Tylenol. A warranted search of the residence reportedly discovered a baggie containing a white substance which tested positive for methamphetamine and another baggie with a black substance testing positive for heroin. Deputies also found various drug paraphernalia including syringes and scales, as well as a .22 caliber handgun. Richwine reportedly admitted to giving the victim the controlled medications, but could not supply a prescription or say where he obtained the pills.
Online court documents say Richwine has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; two counts of a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance; and a Class E Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Bond has been set at $150,000 cash or surety.
Richwine’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
