The Marshall City Council was asked to take the next step in getting signs posted regarding a noise ordinance during its meeting on Tuesday, February 19.
Municipal Services Director Bill Anderson explained what a contract with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission entails.
Ward 2 Councilman Chuck Hines explained further that the city has approved a noise ordinance, and this agreement allows the city to put up signs on the MoDOT right-of-ways. Then Hines asked Anderson about the next step in the process.
The council approved the first and second readings of the ordinance, which went into effect upon its approval.
