The resignation of a longtime administrator has been accepted by an area school board.
According to a release from the Glasgow School District, the school board accepted the resignation of superintendent Mike Reynolds during its meeting on Wednesday, February 20.
Reynolds says his resignation will be effective at the end of the day on June 30, 2019- the end of the state’s fiscal year. Reynolds said he has been superintendent for the last 14 years; an administrator in the district for the past 20 years; and a part of the district for 30 years.
The school board also approved Sonya Fuemmeler to serve as the district’s superintendent beginning on July 1. Fuemmeler currently is the assistant superintendent.
In other news, the board approved Stacey Kottman to serve as secondary principal. The board also will begin its search for an elementary principal.
