A Sedalia man who has been charged with two counts of a sex-related felony involving a juvenile is due in court this week.
A probable-cause statement says on September 6, 2018, a 24-year-old male alleged that Jon Mark Wilson sexually abused him when he was between the ages of 10 and 12. The alleged victim said the abuse occurred on multiple occasions during the two-year time frame.
Court documents say Wilson, who is now 55 years old, faces two counts of an Unclassified Felony for Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree- with a person less than 14 years old.
Wilson posted surety bond on October 9. On December 3, Wilson waived his formal arraignment and requested a change of the judge. A new judge was assigned on December 7.
On January 24, 2019, a warrant was issued for Wilson. After having reviewed the affidavit filed with the state’s motion to revoke bond, the court found the existing bond was not sufficient, and that the defendant poses a threat to the alleged victim. The existing bond was revoked. Bond will be set on defendant’s first court appearance.
Wilson is scheduled to appear for a hearing at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
