Tom Yancy, age 86, of Fayette, died Monday, February 25, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Linn Memorial United Methodist Church in Fayette. Burial will be held at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall.

No visitation will be held. Memorials suggested to CMU’s Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art or CMU’s Swinney Conservatory of Music.

Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors: Companion of 45 years – Dr. Joe E. Geist, of Fayette; sister-in-law, Nancy Yancey; 4 nieces – Sarah Friskey Luecke of Columbia, Barbara Friskey of Columbia, Martha Remer of San Antonio, TX and Mary Yancey Wheat of St. Louis; 1 nephew – Daniel Yancey of St. Louis
