It was announced during the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, February 26, that two of the three commissioners will be absent during Government Day on Friday, March 1.
Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden explained it’s so they can attend a meeting about rural broadband.

Northern District Commissioner Monte Fenner gave more details about the meeting.

As for Government Day, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. said students from the Marshall, Malta Bend, Slater and Sweet Springs School Districts will visit the courthouse and other places in the county- including the Saline County Jail.
