After a reported incident at Stuckey’s at the intersection of Route J and I-70 in Saline County on Tuesday, February 26, a warrant has been issued and a Nelson man has been charged with a couple of felonies involving the alleged use of a weapon.
A probable-cause statement says Gary Allen Johnson is reported to have entered the business and was perturbed at another customer who had pulled into the parking lot ahead of him. The incident reportedly escalated as Johnson also allegedly grabbed the customer by the ear and threatened to blow his head off with the revolver he had in his possession. Johnson eventually left the store and reportedly fired at least two shots. Nobody was injured. All of the actions of Johnson reportedly were captured on video surveillance.
According to online court documents, Johnson has been charged with a Class E Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon- Exhibiting; an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action; and a misdemeanor for firing a weapon along a highway or into a building. Bond has been fixed at $15,000 cash only with several conditions- including he is to wear a GPS monitoring device and not have any contact with Stuckey’s, the victims or witnesses- upon his release.
Johnson’s initial hearing is pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
