A Nelson man who is facing felony charges for allegedly brandishing a weapon, threatening customers inside and then firing a couple of shots from a pistol outside Stuckey’s in Saline County on Tuesday, February 26, also has been charged with a felony for another alleged incident in Pettis County on the same day.
According to a probable-cause statement, a woman alleges 25-year-old Gary Allen Johnson became upset after his grandmother- who also was in her vehicle- refused to get into Johnson’s vehicle. She says he kicked the front license plate on her car and punched the driver’s-side mirror, bending it forward. She also says he threatened to shoot one of the two women in the vehicle. The woman said she quickly backed out and pulled away, but Johnson pursued her vehicle in his. She says during the pursuit, Johnson’s vehicle nearly struck hers at one point and also almost ran them off the roadway at another point.
According to online court documents, Johnson has been charged with a Class E Felony for Harassment. Bond has not been set yet.
Johnson’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
