Two Marshall residents each face drug and weapon possession felony charges after authorities identified one of them as a suspect from an alleged domestic assault recently in Saline County.
According to a probable-cause statement, Saline County deputies took a report from a female victim who stated 35-year-old Carl Clayton Roettgen allegedly grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the face once while holding a firearm on February 19 in Gilliam. The victim was noticed to have sustained a small laceration on the bridge of her nose.
Online court documents for this case says Roettgen has been charged with a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Class E Felonies for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Domestic Assault in the Third Degree. Bond has been set at $30,000 cash only.
On March 2, deputies with assistance from Marshall Police officers located Roettgen as he was the driver of a vehicle owned by the passenger, 37-year-old Lindsey Glor. Both were arrested after authorities located a loaded handgun, various drug-distribution items and a small amount of methamphetamine and marijuana within the vehicle. Glor allegedly was in possession of a syringe containing a liquid consistent with being methamphetamine during the booking process at the Saline County Jail.
Online court documents for this case says Roettgen and Glor each have been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance; a Class D Felony for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm; and two drug-related misdemeanors. Glor also has been charged with a Class D Felony for Delivery or Possession of a Controlled Substance at a Jail Facility. Cash-only bonds have been set at $50,000 for Roettgen and $35,000 for Glor.
Each were scheduled to appear for arraignment hearings-with Roettgen appearing for both of his cases- at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 4, at Saline County Circuit Court. No other information is available at this time.
