One of two area residents injured in a head-on traffic crash had to be flown from the scene in Carroll County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as an eastbound vehicle, driven by 37-year-old Scott Murphy, of Bosworth, reportedly was traveling in the westbound lane and struck a westbound vehicle, driven by 41-year-old Melissa Wooldridge, of Carrollton, as it was pulling out of a driveway onto the roadway.
Murphy, who reportedly was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by Life Flight Air Ambulance to Truman Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Wooldridge reportedly was transported by private vehicle to Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton for treatment of moderate injuries.
The crash happened at 7:20 p.m. on U.S. Highway 24, three-tenths of a mile east of Route MM.
