Severe weather season is right around the corner, so it’s time to begin preparing for the possibility of storms and their associated hazards. The first reports of severe weather in the KMMO listening area typically occur around late March or early April. So, Storm-spotter training will be available in Pettis County next week.
A news release says the Sedalia-Pettis County Emergency Management Agency will host the annual session- presented by the National Weather Service- beginning at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 11, in the third-floor courtroom at the Pettis County Courthouse in Sedalia.
The training is open to the public.
