Bridge rehabilitation projects are scheduled to begin this month on two bridges located on U.S. Highway 24 in Chariton County; followed by two U.S. Highway 65 bridges in Carroll County later this spring.
According to MoDOT, contractors from Lehman Construction, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to begin work Monday, March 11.
In Chariton County- the Chariton River and Long Creek Bridges- work is scheduled to last through late May.
In Carroll County, work on the Wakenda Creek and Missouri River Overflow Bridges is scheduled to run from mid-May through late October.
During the projects, traffic will be narrowed to one lane and directed over each bridge with traffic signals. All work and schedules are weather permitting.
