The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of the KMMO listening area on Saturday, March 9.
According to a release from the Pettis County Sheriff’s office, the advisory is in effect until 7 p.m.- with the main concern beginning about midday and continuing through the evening.
Westerly winds from 25 to 30 miles per hour- with gusts up to 45 miles per hour- are expected. The high winds could cause difficult travel conditions for high-profile vehicles. Also, residents are advised to secure any lightweight items that are outside.
Included in the advisory area are Saline, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Lafayette and Pettis Counties.
