During the meeting of the Sweet Springs Board of Aldermen on Monday, March 11, City Clerk Michelle Fuehring said she told the board it is looking like each community is going to receive about $100,000 from the half-cent Develop Saline County sales tax voters approved last April.
Fuehring said she needs to present potential projects for the city at the next meeting of the Develop Saline County Board.

Fuehring said aldermen approved proposed projects for more than $100,000- simply because it is not known what the exact proceeds will be- and it will be easier to cut money to certain projects than go through the process to approve them again.

Fuehring said the next meeting of the Develop Saline County Board is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 10.
In other news, aldermen tabled a decision regarding uniforms for the employees of the Public Works Department; and Alderman Rodney Heaper announced that city residents are invited to help during a cleanup day at the park beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 23.
