A Springfield, Ohio man has been charged with a felony after accepting a package which reportedly contained cocaine earlier this month in Saline County.
A probable-cause statement says Marshall Police officers received a call from a special investigator with the Department of Homeland Security on March 4. The investigator stated a package was intercepted by U.S. Border and Customs, which contained two pictured frames. Reportedly, those picture frames contained several ounces of cocaine. The package was addressed to 25-year-old Victor Emmanuel Casey III and was being shipped to a residence on East College Street in Marshall.
Casey reportedly accepted the package during a controlled delivery at the police department building on March 14. Casey stated he was picking up the package for a former school mate and was paid $400. At this time, no other subject has been charged in this case.
Online court documents say Casey has been charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance with bond set at $15,000 cash or surety.
His initial hearing in pending at Saline County Circuit Court.
