Governor Mike Parson is scheduled to attend KMMO’s 34th Annual Ag-Day Celebration which will be held on a family-owned farm in Nelson on Thursday, March 21.
The annual celebration is in honor of area family owned and operated farms.
This year’s Ag-Day will be held at the Isaac and Elizabeth Christy Farm as Missouri Director of Agriculture Chris Chin and Governor Parson will host the first “Farmer’s Talk” of this year. Governor Parson and Chin will host the casual conversation with local farmers and ranchers about agribusiness in Missouri from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m.
At noon for the regular program, Chin and Brownfield Ag Network’s Tom Steever will be the guest speakers.
Food will be provided with coffee and doughnuts being served at 6 a.m., and lunch starts around 11:30 a.m. as pork burgers and ribeye steak sandwiches will be served.
Isaac and Elizabeth Christy’s Farm is located at 20483 Poplar Avenue in Nelson, and follow the KMMO Ag-Day signs as you travel on Missouri Highway 41, east of Marshall and west of Arrow Rock.
